I don’t care
If the person did even worse than you are doing. I don’t care if you think he “had it coming.” I don’t care if you think it serves a cause, or he started it, or this shows them what they do to people…
12 hours ago, four very young children found out that their father who just went out for a walk was never coming back to them again.
If any part of you celebrates that, if any part of you feels like you are justified in not being horrified by that, if any part of you adds a “yes, but” to the sentence above, I really am in horror at what has happened to your soul and I hope you can find some way to make yourself feel better one of these days.Word. Everybody wants to occupy the moral high ground, nobody wants to earn it.
So help me understand this (and i mean this seriously, not in a sarcastic Internet way): we’re supposed to forget how terrible a human being someone was when they die just because they have kids? Andrew Breitbart was as vile as they come, someone who devoted his life to spreading lies and untruths. Some of those lies actually cost one of my close friends her job, a job in which she helped more people than Breitbart ever did. But because he had children we can’t bring that stuff up?
Look, am i sad that four children lost their father today. Sure. But i just cannot find it in me to feel sorry that the world has lost Andrew Breitbart. If that makes me a terrible person, well, so be it.
