So while the situation is a sad one, it’s also entirely his own fault.

B.R. Meyers Talks About North Korea →
atencio: C-Span video of a lecture given at San Francisco’s World Affairs Council by B.R. Meyers, full of interesting insight on North Korea’s history, politics, and the legacy of Kim Jong Il. He offers his take on why North Korea will never disarm or abandon their quest for nuclear weapons, and how the common belief that the DPRK is a Marxist-Leninist regime is not correct. If you’re at all...

douglasmartini answered your question: Why don’t people use the term lampin’ any more? I actually really love the term “lampin’,” and will use it on occasion. I love it too, but i worry that every time i tried to use it i’d just end up having to explain what i mean, like every time i say “nathan” instead of “nothing”, which would end up being a drag.

Can we do something about that, or would it just sound silly?

The Aporeticus: A Problem with Path →
Mills’ post about new social network Path is just fantastic. He gives the best explanation of the social networking uncanny valley that i’ve ever seen. I wish i could summarize his argument without bastardizing it, but i can’t so just read it it.

Still a shame they aren’t playing Primavera anymore, but at least there’s a chance i’ll get to see them again some time.
